The engineer's fee note: what you pay and what you remit yourself

The situation

The designer of the electrical system sends her fee note through the SdI: 6,400 € of fees, 4 % Inarcassa, VAT and a 20 % withholding tax. How much do you pay her, and what is left for you to do?

The documents

The same files the agent was handed. Open them before you read the rest: the names, addresses and VAT numbers are invented, the structure is not.

What the agent does

The same four phases as every run, in order. In the console you watch them go by one at a time, with the credits beside them.

  1. 01DiagnoseReads the input and decides what the job actually is.
  2. 02AssemblePicks tools, data sources and the model you chose.
  3. 03ActDoes the work. Anything that leaves the building waits for approval.
  4. 04AssessChecks its output against your rules before settling credits.

The result

Result being recorded

This scenario is ready, but its real run has not been recorded yet. Until it has, there is nothing to show here: we would rather print one honest line than a fake result.

What to look for

The document total is 8,120.32 €, but the professional gets 6,840.32: you withhold the 1,280.00 € and remit them yourself with an F24, tax code 1040, by the 16th of the month after the payment. The Inarcassa contribution (256.00 €) is inside the taxable base without being a line, and is not subject to withholding.
