Anti-money-laundering due diligence (D.Lgs. 231/2007) prepared from the client's documents
The customer due diligence a professional owes under D.Lgs. 231/2007, prepared from the papers on the desk: every codice fiscale and partita IVA checked by code, the identity document's expiry on the day of the verification, the beneficial owners computed from the chain of holdings, the ten risk factors and the level the CNDCEC's Regole Tecniche suggest, the measures — enhanced for a high-risk country — and cash over the threshold. A suggestion: the professional decides; no PEP or sanctions list is consulted.
The problem
For every new client the professional must identify them, trace the beneficial owners through the chain of holdings, assess the risk and decide the measures. The papers are on the desk; turning them into a complete sheet takes time.
Who it is for, and when
- Who it is for
- The commercialista, or another professional obliged by D.Lgs. 231/2007, and the studio's assistant who gathers the client's papers.
- When
- When taking on a new client, before the engagement starts; at the periodic review, and whenever something changes (a shareholder, an extraordinary operation).
What you give it, what you get
You give it
The identity document of the client or of whoever acts for the company (a scan or a photo), the visure of the client and of the shareholder companies, the beneficial owner's declaration, the engagement letter or the meeting's notes.
You get
The suggested risk on top, then the identification with the tax codes, the VAT number and the expiry checked, the beneficial owners from the chain, the ten factors with the Regole Tecniche's scores, what is to complete, the PEP and sanctions questions and the next review; the file in Word and PDF and the CSV.
How it works, in three steps
- Upload the identity document, the visure, the declaration and the engagement
- Read the suggested risk and what is to complete
- Decide, ask the questions and keep the file
On its own, in a flow. Published as a page: the studio's assistant uploads the new client's papers, and the professional gets the file to weigh; no list consulted, nothing sent.
The rules it applies
In the agent's own words: what it checks and what it never does.
- Tax codes and VAT numbers checked by their algorithm
- Beneficial owners from the chain: direct and indirect
- Risk by the CNDCEC tables — the professional decides
- Every total is recalculated from the lines and compared with the printed one; what cannot be read stays empty and is said in the notes, never invented.
A real example
A case from the demo catalogue, with anonymised documents.
Anna Verdi, a new sole trader: the identity card, the visura and the engagement letter — risk «poco significativo», simplified measures, 2 things to complete
It is Monday 5 October. Anna Verdi opened her electrician's business on 21 September and becomes a client of Studio Venturi & Monti for the accounts in the regime forfettario, the tax return and tax advice. Before starting, Dr Venturi must carry out the customer due diligence: on the desk are the photocopy of her electronic identity card, the business's visura and the engagement letter she has just signed. The client's declaration is not there yet.
The recorded result
Verdi Impianti di Anna Verdi: rischio suggerito poco significativo (1,6 = 30 % dell'inerente 3 + 70 % dello specifico 1), misure semplificate; da completare: dichiarazione del cliente (art. 22), verifica sulle liste delle sanzioni. Suggerimento: decide il professionista.

Frequently asked questions
Does the agent decide the risk level?
No: it suggests the level from the CNDCEC Technical Rules, with every factor and its score, and the professional decides. No PEP or sanctions list is consulted: the agent writes the questions to ask the client.
What does it cost, and how long does it take?
Usually 10–21 credits per client (≈ €0.41–0.87) and 1–3 minutes. It depends on the documents: more visure, skewed photos and a long chain cost more; the codes, the chain and the scores are computed by code. The recorded example cost 14 credits in about 2 minutes.
Can it run on its own, in a flow?
Published as a page: the studio's assistant uploads the new client's papers, and the professional gets the file to weigh; no list consulted, nothing sent.
Who checks what the agent did?
You do — and it takes a minute, not an afternoon. Every run is a trace: the live timeline, each tool call, each document read, the cost per step, the confidence and sources. Actions that leave the building wait for your approval. The platform never sends, never touches a live store, never moves money.
Where does my data live, and how do you handle GDPR?
Your data is stored in the EU, on one server in Germany. The EU/US data-region setting limits which models an agent can be saved with, not where your data is stored. A no-retention mode and a local runner on your own machine are available. Your plan sets how many days your data is kept — you can change it — and when they run out it is deleted automatically. You download each run's results and delete files, agents and connections in the console; an owner deletes the whole workspace and each person their own account from Settings. The “Your data” page names the services that handle your data.
